And if you're already pulling a trailer around, you're gonna want the lights to work on it. You know, that way people around you know what's going on and you'll be safe and legal. Hi there, Prius owners. Today on your 2017 Toyota Prius, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Curt's 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector vehicle wiring harness. And this is what our harness looks like when it's installed. That's right, you can't even see it, because it's hidden underneath our panels, so when you're ready to use your wiring, simply lift up on the panel, and it's stored here inside. When you've got it pulled out, simply just drape it over the back, and when you close your lift gate here, it's going to pinch it between the weatherstripping. It's not going to cause any damage to it, just make sure you avoid the striker at the very middle.And now we've got our 4-pole Flat Trailer connector here at the back, which provides us with all of our necessary lighting signal. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Toyota Prius we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector, part number C56147.So here's where our wiring single looks like when we have it fully installed. As you can see we'll have plenty of wire to hook up our connector so we can get all of our lighting functions like our turn signals, brake lights, and our running lights. It does come with a dust cover. We can actually leave it on the outside temporarily. Wrap it around our hitch, that way it'll be ready for us whenever we hook up.What I like is that we can actually store it on the inside because all of our wiring is going to be wrapped in here. So we can just lift up the compartment and store it right under here and be ready for us whenever we hook up. more

Speaker 1: Here on this 2018 Toyota Prius we'll be having a look at, and showing you how to install the Curt T connector vehicle wiring harness with a four pole flat trailer connector, part number C56353.Here's what our wiring looks like installed. When we want to use it, we can remove it from the vehicle, drape it over our weather stripping here, making sure we avoid the latch for our trunks so it doesn't get pinched, and we can close the trunk over it. As you see, we have an adequate length of wire to reach down by the receiver on our hitch. Now this wiring harness gives you the basic lighting functions that are required by law, in order for you to safely and legally tow your trailer.This white wire here provides the best ground connection between your Prius and your trailer. The brown wire provides your taillight and running light signal. And on that circuit, we have a total power output of six amps. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Toyota Prius- Video
Today on our 2010 Toyota Prius, we'll be taking a look at and installing the CURT T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4- Pole Flat Connector, part number C56147. First thing we'll need to do in installing our wiring harness is open up the rear hatch. Once you have the rear hatch open, go ahead and remove all the floor coverings and plastics, all the way down to the floor of the vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and remove the rubber seal here, just pull it back, so we can remove the threshold located at the back to run our wires across. Now we'll go ahead and remove the two covers located here, to get access to our vehicle wiring harness. Pull down on the tab, and out to remove. We'll set those up there. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Toyota Prius- Video
Today on this 2013 Toyota Prius we'll be installing the trailer-ready, custom-fit vehicle wiring harness, Part Number 119147KIT. Now let's go over Operation of our new 4-pole connector. We'll simply open up the rear storage compartment and run the wire out over the hatch. Stay away from the latch, as pinching off in the latch can harm the wire. However, the weather-stripping is thick enough that we can simply close the rear hatch on the wire and pull out what's necessary to go down to our hitch or accessory. Then when we're finished, we'll simply take the wire and store it here in the rear storage compartment. Now to begin the install, we'll go ahead and open up the rear hatch. We'll first remove the rear cargo mat, then open up the rear cargo compartment. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Toyota Prius 118505- Video
Today well be working on a 2010 Toyota Prius. Were going to install Tow Ready T1 Connector part number 118505. Were going to access the rear cargo area and first were going to do is remove the cargo mat. Were going to go ahead and pull it out of the vehicle and out of our way. Im going to access the rear spare tire carrier area. Were just going to remove all the interior trim panels and cargo carriers. more
